Seminar Summary
What is the current state of federal labour law and policy? What challenges and opportunities lie ahead in an era of continuing global economic pressures, demographic trends that are remaking Canada, and unrelenting technological and organizational changes in the workplace? Our panel of partners will explore federal labour law and policy with Anthony Giles, Director General of Strategic Policy, Analysis and Workplace Information, Labour Program, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
Questions to be explored include:
- Is there a relationship between the federal government's fiscal strategy and current labour policy?
- What factors may be impacting the government's broad policy agenda?
- How might the return to majority government affect labour policy?
